Central topic of our seminars is the Non-Violent Communication method of Marshall Rosenberg which focuses on positive communication and teaches us how to use emotional intelligence.
The first step in this process is to understand that feelings are connected to universal human values and needs, and to acknowledge our own feelings and needs, and those of the others as equally important. When we connect to people on this level we experience more trust and respect, and share a willingness to contribute to each others well-being.
We learn that conflicts occur because of the different strategies we have to fulfil our needs and that we can reach mutually acceptable solutions without compromising ourselves or our desires. Through demonstrations and role plays we practise a new attitude to address problems creatively, and reach constructive solutions.
Empathy is one of the key skills we learn in this process. Being empathic means to stay fully present in the moment and give our full attention to the other person.
The seminars on positive communication teach us also to be open and authentic, and to express ourselves clearly and confidently. Another important topic is the balance in relationships, which is which is essential to having fulfilling partnerships.
